Terms of service

These terms apply when you install or use QuoteLoop, a Shopify app ("the app") made by TechnoCity ("we", "us"). By installing the app you agree to them, and to our data processing agreement, which forms part of these terms. If you don't agree, please don't install or use the app.

1. The service

QuoteLoop lets your store's customers request PDF quotes from their cart, and gives you tools to manage, edit, send and follow up quotes and match them to orders. The features are described on our features page.

2. Plan, trial and billing

  • QuoteLoop has one plan, billed by Shopify on your Shopify invoice, monthly or yearly, at the price shown on our pricing page when you subscribe.
  • New stores get a 14-day free trial. Shopify tracks the trial per store, so reinstalling doesn't start a new one.
  • You can switch or cancel at any time. Charges already made are not refunded, except where the law requires it or we decide otherwise.
  • If your subscription ends, the app stops making new quotes; quotes already sent keep working while the app is installed.
  • If we change the price, the new price applies to you only after you approve it in Shopify.

3. Quotes and prices

  • QuoteLoop calculates quotes with Shopify, using the prices, discounts and taxes set up in your store at that moment. You are responsible for your prices, products, tax settings, terms and the content of your quotes.
  • A quote is an offer from your store to your customer, on your terms. We are not a party to it, and we don't guarantee that a customer will order, or that prices in your store won't change before they do.
  • Shipping is not included in quotes made from the cart, and is shown as calculated at checkout.
  • Check quotes you edit by hand, such as custom prices and items, before sending them.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Collect only the customer details you need, tell your customers how you use them (for example in your store's privacy policy), and have a lawful basis to email them.
  • Use the app in line with Shopify's terms and the laws that apply to your store, including privacy, consumer and anti-spam laws.
  • Don't use the app to send spam, unlawful or misleading content, or to quote products you're not allowed to sell.
  • Keep your Shopify account and staff access secure.

5. Your data

Your store's data and your customers' data stay yours. We use them only to provide the app, as described in our privacy policy and data processing agreement. You can export your quotes as CSV at any time.

6. Third-party services

The app works with Shopify and uses the service providers listed in our privacy policy. They are run by other companies under their own terms. We're not responsible for their services, such as an email provider declining to deliver an email.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the app available and correct, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted or free of errors. We may improve, change or remove features, and will tell you in the app or by email about changes that significantly affect you.

8. Liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost sales, profits or data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

9. Ending use

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously broken, or if required by Shopify or the law. What happens to your data is explained in the privacy policy.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before a significant change takes effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, without affecting rights you have under the laws of your own country.
