Quotes and pricing

Will the quote match what the customer pays at checkout?

Yes. QuoteLoop asks Shopify to price the cart the same way checkout does: your prices, automatic discounts, discount codes and tax for the buyer's address, in their currency. Shipping isn't known until checkout, so the quote says “calculated at checkout” instead of guessing.

Why isn't the “Accept & checkout” button on this quote?

Quotes with your own prices, custom items or an extra discount can't be rebuilt as a cart link. Create a draft order from the quote and send Shopify's invoice instead; it has its own payment link.

Can I make quotes myself?

Yes. Create a quote on Home for a phone or email enquiry: pick products, set your own prices, add custom items or a discount, and email it to the customer.

If I change my PDF settings, do old quotes change?

No. Once a customer has a quote, its PDF stays the same, so every copy matches what they received.

Which languages can the PDF be in?

English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese, and you can change every word. Choose one, or use the language the shopper is browsing in. Product names in Sinhala and Tamil show correctly with the Noto fonts. Right-to-left languages such as Arabic and Hebrew aren't supported yet.

Why is a product image missing from a quote?

Images that take more than 3 seconds to load are left out, so the quote is never delayed.

Your store

Does it work with my theme?

QuoteLoop works with Online Store 2.0 themes such as Dawn and most themes from the Shopify Theme Store. It's a theme app embed, so your theme code is never edited. If the button next to checkout doesn't appear in your theme, add the Quote button block instead.

Will it slow down my store?

No. The script is small and loads with defer, after your page. The popup is only built when a customer clicks the button.

Can I show the button only to logged-in customers?

Yes. In the app embed settings, set Who can get quotes to logged-in customers.

I made a popup field required. Why did a quote come in without it?

Our server remembers your popup settings for up to 5 minutes. A field you've just made required can be skipped by quotes made in those few minutes. After that, it's always checked.

A customer clicked twice. Why is there only one quote?

The same cart and details within 2 minutes give the same quote, so you don't get duplicates.

Emails and tracking

Who do the emails come from?

From QuoteLoop's sending address, with your store's name as the sender. When customers reply, the reply goes to the address you set in Settings.

How accurate is “Opened”?

It's a good hint, not proof. Some mail apps, like Apple Mail, open emails automatically. Viewing the online quote page counts at most once every 30 minutes, and your own visits from the admin don't count.

When does the daily summary arrive?

Between 8 and 11am in your store's timezone (Shopify › Settings › General). On days with no follow-ups due and nothing expiring, there's no email.

Who gets expiry reminders?

Only customers you emailed the quote to (or sent a Shopify invoice to), while the quote is still open. Not customers who only downloaded a quote from your store. At most one reminder per quote; extending the validity allows one more.

Won quotes

When does a quote count as Won?

When there's a sale: an order through its Accept & checkout link, a paid draft order invoice, an order you link by its number, or a sale outside Shopify that you record.

Why can't I find an older order to link?

Shopify lets apps search orders from the last 60 days. For older sales, record the sale by hand.

Plan and billing

How much does QuoteLoop cost?

$5.99 a month or $57.99 a year, with every feature included and a 14-day free trial. Shopify bills it on your Shopify invoice.

Do I pay during the trial?

No. Billing starts after the 14 days, and uninstalling during the trial costs nothing. Reinstalling doesn't start a new trial.

What happens if my plan ends?

The quote button stops making new quotes; customers see “Quotes aren't available in this store right now”. Quotes you've already sent keep working: their links, PDFs and Accept & checkout.

Privacy and data

What happens to my customers' details?

They're stored securely and used only for your quotes. Two years after a quote expires, the customer's personal details are erased automatically: name, company, email, phone, tax ID, addresses, their note, item notes and your follow-up notes. Totals, items and dates stay, so your stats don't change.

Can I see who looked at customer data?

Yes. Settings › Privacy › Access log lists every time staff opened a quote, downloaded a PDF or exported a CSV, and you can download it.

What happens when I uninstall?

Shopify asks us to delete your store's data 48 hours after you uninstall, and we delete everything we hold for your store: quotes, settings, emails and logs.

Where is the data stored?

Our app server and database run in Singapore. See the privacy policy and security page for details.
